Description of a combination of classic socio-generated attacks (real life example)

Analysis

These violations were imposed (unconsciously) to an autistic person (moi), in a store, even with the existence of a “preferential queue”, due to the lack of proper consideration of Autism everywhere.

Below, my messages on Telegram, followed by automatic transcriptions that I corrected :

  1. Today, I had a little nervous breakdown in a store, It's been a long time since this happened.

I go to the cash register to pay, there were several crates, there were different lines in aisles of departments, with a preferential queue.

So I go in the preferential queue, I wait, there was just one person at the preferential checkout, cash register number 2.

  1. But there's an old lady coming up behind me, behind me in the preferential line, and who was a little too close. So since she was a little too close, well I'm moving forward a little.

Obviously, she's moving forward a little too, so obviously, I'm moving forward a little too, and finally I found myself between the start of the preferential queue and the checkout.

And I had to step aside a little, so in fact I was no longer in the preferential queue, and she, without doing it on purpose, she had me “pushed” in front of the preferential line.

  1. (This is a problem that is not new, I had already noticed this when I was in line at the canteen when I was in high school, so it's not from yesterday.)
  1. Ensuite, I was tired because the preferential checkout (2) it never progressed, I don't know what the problem was, and when the checkout 1 freed herself, next to, which was NOT preferential, I went.
  1. Except that the lady waiting behind me, in the preferential queue, she comes, she walks in front of me, she places her purchases in front of the cash register, telling me that she was there before me.

So kindly and I tell him no, I was before, in front of you…

She tells me : but I am “preferential”, I tell him : but I too am “preferential”…

She tells me : maybe, but you weren't expecting it in the preferential queue, you were somewhere else…

I say : Yes, I wasn't in the preferential queue because it was you who got me “pushed” outside, even without doing it on purpose…

  1. In addition, I was already a little angry because in the place where she had pushed me without doing it on purpose, in fact there were people passing by, from other funds, who passed by me, in front of me, there really wasn't much space, so I was constantly looking around, behind, next to, to see if there weren't people who were going to pass, brush against me, touch me etc., which is unbearable for me.
  1. So good for this lady, I tell him : well it doesn't matter, Go on, pass in front of me…

So I go back to the preferential queue, who this time was free, except that, as I was already quite angry, after a few seconds, I noticed it was super cold : In fact, there was air conditioning, there was a flow, air conditioning flow, which blew directly where I was, i.e. at the very beginning of the preferential queue.

  1. Bon, maybe I'm a little stupid, because if I had known I would have had to step back a little so as not to be in front of you, but I just didn't think, it’s already complicated enough as it is since in addition, if I had left the place at the beginning of the preferential queue, probably, there would have been someone who would have come to take my place, because there are a lot of elderly people…
  1. And I don't have either, how angry I was, I also didn't think about putting [to dress myself with] my fleece jacket, that I always tied around my waist precisely because of this problem.
  1. And there was someone from the staff who was nearby, and I tell him : it's cold, it is very cold…

He looks at me, he does not say anything…

I tell him again a little louder : it is really cold, The air conditioning, it's cold…

He does not say anything…

A third time, I start talking louder and louder, and there he asks me politely if I want him to turn down the cold : I tell him : Yeah, Please…

So he leaves... And what happened then…? …

I do not even know anymore, this whole story pissed me off so much (because it's not over…).

  1. And, voilà, I remember, so as in any case it was too cold to stay in this specific place, I moved, and then I was angry so I started to complain, to speak a little loudly, and to say that it was… that there was a problem with the cold air from the air conditioning blowing directly onto the start of the preferential queue, where there are people who may be sensitive.
  1. And no one paid attention to what I said, there were four or five cashiers in front of me, and that made me, it made me…

I was, I was annoyed with this cold story, this story of people who…

  1. It's always the same story : if you don't wait in EXACTLY the right place [and with “the correct posture”, in addition], people think we're not in line, and anyway, they always find a way to touch, to finally push etcetera, so it's really, really difficult…

Sometimes in certain stores I have strategies, that is to say that in fact I NEVER wait in the preferential queue since there is precisely this problem of people pushing and touching, but I put myself in another place, not far from the preferential checkout…

Except that there, this shop, I did not know him, and I didn't I didn't have time, In fact, for me to adapt.

  1. Et… I was starting to get angry, and then the fact that no one did [attention], there were no interlocutors, that pissed me off even more…
  1. Et… I do not know anymore… I remember I spoke louder and louder, to ask I don't even know what anymore…

And what irritated me, there was no one who answered…

At a moment, I remember, I said : more “I speak Chinese”, I was talking really loud, To be, I was saying : but I speak Chinese, it's not possible…

So all the people who were in the store (there were approximately 20 people who looked more or less, who listened, Who…), but hey, it doesn't matter…

  1. And at one point I say : but ultimately it's not possible, there is no one who will answer, there is no manager here ?

And there, there was a lady in front of me on the other side of the cash register who said to me : but yes, I am the manager, (there anyway, she answered), and she says : but sir I asked the boy (just now) to go turn off the air conditioning…

  1. And that pissed me off even more, even if it's not his fault...
I said : but I never asked to turn off the air conditioning, he offered me [reduce] the cold and that's good.
  1. She answered me : yes but it was me who asked him to turn it off…
  1. And there, I know it's not his fault, but it was really starting to annoy me because I know this kind of situation very well, and I told him : but you don't have to turn it off, [car] if you turn off, it's going to get too hot quickly, and everyone will complain, and it's going to be my fault.

And more, I started to feel the heat and I saw that.

  1. Which was also annoying, it's that as usual all the things that I could explain (Well, it’s not easy to explain in Portuguese, but still, I can speak quite well), and all the stuff that, that I explained, it is as if, actually as if I “spoke Chinese”…

Stories of the difference between changing the temperature, and turn off the air conditioning, apparently for most people, These are nuances that they don't understand.

I often had this kind of problem. I already had this problem, particularly in Kazakhstan where it was a big deal for two hours in a minibus. [with the excruciatingly hot heating], it was really quite a story, I really had to be extremely resourceful to convince the driver NOT to turn off the heating [because when he did, a minute later people were complaining about the cold, by incriminating me], to explain to him that between blue and red [on either side of the adjustment knob], there is a middle, and he saw that… Someone told him that I took photos and videos, and it was only there that he was careful and put [the button] between, and then the temperature was good [during the other two hours of the journey].

  1. Anyway, it is at this moment (so let's go back to the store here in Rio de Janeiro), that's when there is a lady, a client, Definitely nice, to help me, but she came, moi, how angry I was, I spoke very loudly, I wasn't shouting, but I spoke very loudly, she comes towards me… and she KEY !
  1. Then… It was really, JUST the thing you shouldn't do, I was already great “on edge”, super angry (It took me at least a quarter of an hour to calm down before recording this message.)…
  1. She touches me… then… I think it was to tell me that there was a crate that was free or…

No doubt it was nice, more, elle… elle… she touches me, quoi !

It was really too much.

  1. SO, I know, I am used to, I've been living in Brazil for seven years, so I know very well that people often touch to talk and it's nice, but the, it was... it was TOO MUCH, quoi, it wasn't, it was not possible…
  1. In addition, I didn't even see it coming [the fact] that she touched me because I was angry, exactly.

If I could have anticipated, well I could have avoided, I could even have tolerated, because it wouldn't have been by surprise.

But it was by surprise, so that pissed me off even more.

  1. And there, I started screaming, I told him [calls out] " Do not touch me, do not touch me, you must not touch me !… »
  1. What is- what happened ? Obviously, instead of understanding that there are people who are sensitive and who cannot stand being touched, she took it personally.

And she answered me “But I don’t have leprosy…”.

  1. So I tried to answer him, but it was difficult because there, I was shouting, I wasn't doing well… I was angry, I was on edge…

In addition, translate into portuguese, in addition, with the cold, the hot, I don't even know anymore uh… what there was, it was really difficult.

  1. In addition, to explain concepts like that to him…

So I said to him “OK, you don't have leprosy, but I’m super-sensitive”, and… I don’t know what I said to him anymore [but it was polite], she began, starting, she said things… finally I saw that she was making fun of me…

  1. I said “Besides, but what is- what it is ? It is… a nightmare. It's really a nightmare, this story, this shop, this preferential line… People push you, it is too cold, people don't listen, on me touche, etc., and more, they're making fun of me. »…
  1. Actually, I'm leaving [form] completely that people are making fun of me, but it’s true that that doesn’t help things.
  1. And I told him from afar, because she was leaving, I said to him “Are you kidding me?, anyway, I don't understand what you are saying and then, It's not worse, and then, It’s not important that you make fun of me”…

I didn't say that to him unkindly, but I spoke very loudly...
Et [as the lady continued to say things on her way to the exit], there is another lady [client] at the cash register next to me who burst out laughing, so definitely, the first lady who touched me, what she said, it must have been a joke or something funny, but I didn't understand what it was.

  1. Anyway, [with all that and in such a short time] I was really, really, really pissed…
  1. Uh… Ultimately, I paid at this cash register, I no longer saw what I was doing, I vaguely saw the price (21 BRL / 4 EUR), luckily with the card [banking] it is not too difficult, but I was trembling, I was trembling, trembling, trembling…
  1. After, I left, I came out… time to arrive at my house… I was not well, I was on edge, I was really shaking and then…
That's all, It’s true that it’s not very serious, but the, there really is a whole combination of problems, that's to say, it’s not because it’s a preferential fund that it’s really suitable : people who can't stand being too close, a preferential line, it's not OK at all.

In addition, adjust the cold air flow exactly to this location, that's not okay either.

In addition, the manager said to me “Sir, I asked to cut”, I told him “Yes but it’s not enough because anyway, every day, it's going to be the same. The problem, it’s that the flow, he is in this place. The flow of cold air, he is in this place. People won't always ask you to change the temperature, especially if you also cut [you turn off] in place. »

  1. Anyway, voilà… that's the kind of problem, These things may not seem very important., but in fact, it’s ATTACKS, that's what I call THE “sensory and mental damage”, which are obviously socio-generated.
  1. Moi, I didn't ask for anything. I didn't ask for anything. I didn't ask for anyone to push me, nor being touched, nor to be put in the cold, hot, you do it, that people make fun of me, let someone come and touch me, I didn't ask for ANY of this.

I just wanted to pay quietly and that's it.

  1. So here is the story… As there are quite a few attacks that combine in there, I wanted to record this “hot”, if I dare say…

——

P.S. :

  1. By mentally reviewing myself “the film” of this mishap, I see the image of all people (at least 20) looking at me without saying anything, neutral apart from the two ladies mentioned, and I also see that one or two security guards (in black) had come closer (has 2 meters), but by having the great intelligence to say nothing and to remain “neutral”.
  1. Despite all the negative and horrifying side of this story, I know very well that the people here in Brazil are not ill-willed, and it is logical that they cannot guess what I explain here.
  1. I also understand that the lady who touched me then made fun of me, did it “to defend his honor” facing a “public” (since I was screaming, what happens every time someone touches me in a checkout line – because it happens sometimes, despite all my precautions).
  1. And especially, I know I'm very lucky, because if it had been in France, the security guard would have approached (too close !), and he would have told me that I couldn't scream like that in the store, and then it would have been “climbing”, with perhaps recourse to the police, or – much worse – to the firefighters, i.e. being taken by force to a psychiatric hospital, from which we never know when we will be able to come out 😞.

Thanks but I already lost 15 month of my life with this [censorship] française !

If I live in Brazil and no longer in the nightmare of France, there are good reasons !

  1. Anyway, I did not do anything wrong, I am autistic, I am sensitive, I use the preferential lane (because the other files, it's even worse), I didn't ask to be “pushed”, touch, to receive the icy air right there, having to launch into explanations “in Chinese” for people who don't seem to hear or understand, nor to be mocked (even if it's really not important to me).

Analysis

This is a text that I wrote in a letter for the WHO that mentioned this real-life example.

D. Example of “conjunction” of socio-generated, sensory and mental impairments, experienced very recently

This situation occurred on 08/11/2023, that is, the day before this document is finalized.

It was not at all “Caused” in order to illustrate it, because everything happened “by surprise”, and there have been several almost simultaneous attacks, which is rare, and this explains why it has not been possible to adapt to it.

WHO mental health specialists can use it as they see fit, whether they have an interest in it.

Here is an attempt to describe these problems in a way that “depersonalized”.

D1. Fairly detailed chronological description

This situation includes the following, which happened in just a few minutes (maybe 5 has 8 mn) :

  • a) AS1 sensory impairment : the “unwanted touch of the body by others”, or more precisely the risk (very plausible in Brazil) such attacks by a Non-Autistic Person PNA1 behind him in a queue at the checkout of a store, which forces the autistic person to move away (that is, to self-exclude) (The latter problem could have constituted a mental impairment if he had been aware).
  • b) Then an AM1 Mental Impairment : the injustice of having one's place at the checkout taken by the other person (PNA1).
  • c) Then the AM2 Mental Impairment born of the exasperation due to the fact that, “as per usual”, the non-autistic person with whom we have a problem “doesn't understand anything” to our explanations (for she does not listen attentively, since she thinks she's right because we have an attitude “abnormal”, which takes away the idea of making an effort to understand).
  • d) Then the mental impairment “more general” AM3 (not due to PNA1) constituted by “The vague invasion” by the memories of similar problems, which is irritating since these problems are never solved so it generates an accumulation of frustrations, which increases sensitivity, irritability, and the “Immediate responsiveness” to these problems. (One becomes a “flayed”.)
  • and) Then an AS2 Sensory Impairment by the intense cold of the air conditioning flow (an infringement that would certainly have been less perceived in the absence of the infringements described above).
  • f) Then an AM4 Mental Impairment consisting of a “vague invasion” painful memories (as with “d)”) innumerable similar situations of sensory and mental impairment relating to the settings “rude and abusive” Appliances that produce cold or heat, and lack of intelligence (or willpower) social environment to respond adequately to requests (very reasonable) adaptations, i.e. settings “Balanced”, NOT TO THE MAXIMUM as is almost always the case, very stupidly (and it is “enraging”, After several decades like this).
  • g) Then (almost simultaneously) AM5 Mental Impairment when you realize that when you were only waiting 1 meter further, This problem of very cold flow did not exist, which leads to the conclusion that the air conditioning unit (very large and powerful) blows precisely where one is forced to wait (so as not to have the social problem “b)”), which is poorly designed since it is the place where disabled or elderly people (potentially fragile or sensitive) often pass several minutes.
  • h) Then an AM6 Mental Impairment (slight compared to the rest here, but which increases a little “Neurological boiling”) because of the attitude initially “deaf” of PNA2 staff to implicit requests for correction.
(Note : This attack is “forgivable” because the request should have been explicit, and above all because the inertia and calm of the employees in Brazil is very useful, In the end, to avoid “escalations of reciprocal irritation”, which can have terrible consequences.
But “In the Moment”, the printing of “Speak Chinese” or “Talking to walls” can only increase the person's exasperation “affected by socio-generated disorders”).
  • i) Then the AM7 Mental Impairment due to the fact that no one reacts, among at least a dozen staff members watching the scene, when the angry person speaks very loudly, is visibly suffering, and addresses them, Finally telling them “But anyway, I speak Chinese ? There's no one going to answer ??”.
  • j) Then the AM8 Mental Impairment due to the fact that the manager PNA3 (who finally reacts when the word “manager(and)”) simply explains that she asked OFF the air conditioning, Which, according to her, solves the problem : here it must be understood that this “reach”, it is an avalanche of memories of similar situations, which, in short, refer to the great “double-stupidity” which consists of either paying “at the maximum of cold or hot”, or to stupidly TURN off the device, which does not solve the problem at all since the temperature of the place quickly becomes too hot or too cold (which causes complaints from other users, directed at the autistic person who is already well “Assaulted”), and which leads to some very annoying thoughts about the fact that thermostats and settings exist, than “It's not made for dogs” (= it has a purpose), and also on the – very desperate – fact that this problem is happening ALL OVER THE WORLD.
  • k) Then the mental impairment (very classic) AM9 because the manager doesn't seem to listen at all when we try (despite the annoyance) to explain the point “j)” above.
  • l) And also the AM10 Mental Impairment of the fact that instead of trying to understand (or to admit) the “Obvious logical subtlety” described above, The manager simply replies “Oui, more [Turn off completely] That's what *me* asked”, which refers to the unfairness of the fact that “The Authority” Outperforms here “The reason”.
  • M) Also the AM11 Mental Impairment constituted by the fact that the manager does not pay the slightest attention when we try to explain to her that the choice to turn off the air conditioning is not the best solution because not only does it not solve the problem (as seen in “j)”) but in addition, this “solution” is not sustainable, that is to say, the manager or the company has no consideration regarding the particularly ill-conceived nature of an icy flow directed precisely where the most vulnerable people are (And this is all the more so since there are many elderly people in the neighborhood, which, in times of Covid, are very fragile, that is, getting stuck(and) several minutes in the cold can lead to weakening below a potentially fatal threshold).
  • n) Then (As if all this was not “sufficient” !) very serious Sensory Impairment AS3 : a PNA4 person who we didn't see arrive, and that starts by TOUCHING the autistic person, which is already “boiling” and whose biggest problem (more serious than hot or cold) is precisely such a “unwanted touch” (Who, in addition, is unnecessary and even counterproductive, for if the goal is to appease, it is really the opposite that is obtained).
This is called “The Coup de Grace”… (It is also said that one “finish off the horses”…)
This problem could have been avoided if it had not been preceded by everything else, because this person PNA4 has arrived “on the side” (not from behind by surprise), what, in normal times, leaves enough time to back off or to avoid, or else – if touch is unavoidable – to prepare for it mentally and quickly, which allows us to accept it a little bit.
But with all the “mental boiling” (Irritation, something that happens to everyone, but in “more sensitive” here) produced by everything else (just before), we are “Invaded”, Overwhelmed, and we no longer have the mental or neurological resources to perceive “normally” What is happening around you.
  • or) Then the AM12 Mental Impairment due to the fact that the PNA4 person (who touched) declares that it “does not have leprosy”, which immediately leads to “Desperate thoughts” (although vague) relating to the fact that “People never understand anything” : Indeed, here the PNA4 person did not imagine at all that the requests “Don't touch me !” could have something to do with personal sensitivity (that we can sometimes mean BEFORE being touched, to avoid it, but not anymore when you're angry, which prevents us from explaining ourselves properly).
  • p) Then the AM13 Mental Impairment that constitutes the mockery made by this PNA4 person, which is excusable because, facing a “public” (Customers, Staff), she feels obliged to “defend” in the face of the person's behaviour and screams that he or she does not understand and certainly considers to be “A jerk.” (or “A crazy person”), what, socially, “Justifies” this “Mockery” (and this is all the more so if we add the question of “machismo”, although he has absolutely nothing to do with this story, more “People don't know” and therefore “They believe what they imagine”) (and in the same erroneous mechanism, sometimes there is also the question of “racism” who invites himself, which is completely absurd and what exasperates even more, even if it's very rare).
  • q) Then finally the AM14 Mental Impairment due to the fact that a PNA5 customer at a checkout next door can't help but giggle, in response to a “witticism” (sarcastic) of the PNA4 person.
Note : Mockery is not important to the “victim” here because she has long understood the character of “Generally erroneous and unimportant” of the “Social judgment”, but this does not help to calm down, and especially, for almost all autistic people, such a situation of “general mockery” leads to a sense of shame and being “undesirable”, which obviously leads to avoiding the “social experiences”, and which sometimes leads to suicide, believing that we are fundamentally deficient : “thank you very much” to the “Confusion between autism and disorders (CAT)”…

D2. Approach “Normal non-autistic” (obviously superficial and erroneous) of this situation

From the point of view of staff and customers, most likely they thought they would see “a madman” or “A jerk.” or “A mentally ill person” or a very demanding person, believing himself superior, or that kind of thing.
This makes sense, because of the lack of knowledge and understanding they have of the internal mechanisms of the situation (summarized above in D1).

If a psychiatrist or psychologist was present and could give his or her opinion, AND IF this specialist could have understood that the angry person is autistic (which unfortunately is rather rare in autism “light”), then she would have simply concluded that :

  • a) The angry person has maladaptive behavior.
  • b) This makes sense since she is autistic : We know that autistic people are irritable (to understand : they get angry for no good reason, or “because of their autism / of their troubles”).
  • c) This situation therefore illustrates a “Autism Disorder”.
  • d) It would take a “treatment” for this person, Unfortunately, the company does not provide enough care or treatment centers, blah blah blah...

D3. Approach “from the inside” (that is to say, accurate and realistic, Instead of “guess”)

From the point of view of the autistic person, who really lives the situations and who knows the content, the contours and details of perceptions, emotions, of the things she experiences (imposed on him), things are VERY different, and what we see and experience, it's almost the opposite of what is believed by “others”.

Here's what the autistic person might feel or think, in this situation :

  • a) The angry person has maladaptive behavior.
to No, it is the social environment, who behaves inappropriately (Indeed : it touches us unnecessarily, he does not maintain a “Social Distancing”, he does not listen attentively, He has no intelligence when it comes to thermostats while it doesn't require “Aeronautics Studies”, He decides abruptly and without weighting or adequacy, he uses authority instead of reason and correctness, he laughs at us, etc.)
  • b) This makes sense since the person is autistic, because we know that autistic people are irritable (to understand : they get angry for no good reason, or “because of their autism / of their troubles”).
à It is quite logical, understandable and legitimate, being easily irritable and getting upset and yelling, when you are constantly exposed(and) to “Risks of social harm” and when, even with a lot of experience to protect yourself from it, it does happen to us sometimes, which is irritating and desperate, Especially since the social environment (non-autistic), all over the world, has the same behavior “Automatic and rudimentary”, and usually does NOTHING to reduce these problems (because of the illusion of rightness conferred by the number / the mass, and also because of the misconception that “autism = disorders = impairment”).
  • c) This situation therefore illustrates a “Autism Disorder”.
to No, This situation illustrates the sensitivity and suffering of autistic people in the face of the consequences of “Non-Autism Disorders”, which are never reduced because they are not perceived as negative things by “The company”, car “Everyone does it like that, it's normal”.
    To better understand :
    — In a society where everyone would understand the interest of thermostats (which would therefore be well regulated), If a person “coarse” came to adjust or extinguish, it would be SHE the “Improper”, and not the autistic victim who does not reveal the problems.
    — In the context of a pandemic of the “Covid”, or in a country where it is incorrect (and unacceptable) to TOUCH people to talk to them, It is “the person who receives”, that would be deemed unsuitable, Improper, “boor”, poorly educated, etc.
In the situation described here, It is the social environment that “Brings problems and disorders” (by his behavior, his body positions, physical actions aimed at and touching others, inappropriate actions or reactions, its settings or habits “Stupid”, etc.).
While the autistic person, elle, She didn't ask for anything, Nothing Done Wrong, she is very calm, She waits to pay at the cash register, She tries to follow wisely what is planned.
So how could he be incriminated, and accuse him of “troubles”, when you see that she has done nothing, and that the problems come from outside ?
And how can we blame him for expressing his demands for an end to the disturbances, and its sufferings ?
  • d) It would take a “treatment” for this person, Unfortunately, the company does not provide enough care or treatment centers, blah blah blah...
to No, We have the right to be sensitive and different, and more, concerning sensory impairments, We can't change so much (For example, if someone comes and touches us on the back, Reflexes are beyond our control), unless we turn into “vegetables” with medication, which is unacceptable.
Not only do we have that right, but in addition, our sensitivity could be very useful in optimizing or correcting the “Social settings”, if society had the intelligence and the courage to try to listen to us.
What is needed, It's not “Treating and formatting autistics” (which does not contradict the need for social learning), What is needed “treat”, it's the flaws, errors and absurdities of the system, that lead to disasters, immense suffering and many deaths every day.
We are reproached for our “troubles”, but when we look at the disorders and defects specific to the non-autistic system (and who, by definition, do not exist in autistic people – except when their behaviour is “desautistified”), so our “troubles” Ours, it's really not much, it's really benign, almost “restful”, in comparison.

Any person “normal” may be very irritated, shout, and even be violent, if it is subjected to more than it can bear, and yet, his behavior is not “evidence of a mental disorder”, but a simple human reaction.

For autistic people, it's the same, except that we are MUCH more sensitive (because of our great coherence/harmony) So we react more often and faster than people “normally insensitive”, who do not understand this, because of the character “not very sensitive / little fine” et “standard” of their “Reasoning” (which are “Automatic”).

However, it is not that difficult to understand.

D4. Comment “slice” (How to choose) between the two opposing approaches (“Who is right ?”)

Some may say that despite all these explanations, It's still up to us to adapt, and that “The company” has no particular effort to make (or that “That's impossible”).

So how do you know “who is right” ?

The answer is simple : ” It is not a sign of good health to be well adapted to a deeply sick society.” (chapter 10.4 of this letter)

In other words, It's not because everyone makes the same mistakes (by copying each other thanks to non-autistic duplication capabilities), that they are no longer mistakes.

And to better understand whether a social behavior is “erroneous” Or not, There are at least two ways :

  • by trying to analyze situations very finely, to see “who brought the problems to the beginning” (as done above, even if it is inevitably difficult to be impartial) ;
  • or else (but it's more theoretical and difficult), trying to see what is in harmony with “The natural frame of reference”, and what annoys him.

With a little good faith, It is generally concluded that autistic people (like people with Down syndrome) have done nothing wrong, and that they are perfectly justified in asking for corrections of a badly made system that makes them suffer.

And if all this is not enough, All you have to do is turn on a television on a news channel, then :

  • to see that the essential is catastrophic and destructive, through the fault of “The company” ;
  • that the toxic and flawed mechanisms at work do not correspond at all to the characteristics of autism, in other words, than autistic people (unsocialized) would be incapable of committing such errors and horrors.

Isn't it obvious ??

D5. The need for a better understanding of autism and the creation of accessibility policies (and corresponding concrete measures) for people with autism with disabilities

When we see, with the situation experienced by an autistic person summarized here, than

  • Even being an autism specialist
    • who understands the intricacies of the mechanics involved (autistic and non-autistic),
    • and who is very used to it, organized, adapted, to avoid these kinds of problems,
  • AND even in such a welcoming and friendly country and very “accessible” for autistic people (Brazil),

We can still get to this kind of situation, and very quickly, without power “Protect yourself”,

so we understand :

  • that – very logically – These situations happen much more often and in a much more distressing way for autistics who are less well prepared (And it should be noted that their problems can be different, not necessarily on issues of proximity or temperature) ;
  • that there is obviously a need for accessibility policies that take autism into account properly (et We can really help a lot with this) ;
    • and this is all the more so since even in a country as “Ok” than Brazil, with a population “good” and respectful (Despite the problems of “touch”, that are in his culture), even with the systematic existence of cash desks and reserved seats, This is still not enough.
(Like what, the notion of “PREFERRED FUND” is correct for autistic people, but NOT the notion of “Preferential QUEUE” since it requires proximity and the problems we have seen above, inter alia.
This is a big problem when there is no preferential FUND but only a preferential FILE (whose people are called by various funds)).

D6. The idea that perhaps some explanations by autistics could be relevant and useful (but are not sufficiently taken into consideration)

To obtain the understanding and thus the adaptations D5 above, it is obvious that we must REALLY listen to the “Rosetta Stones” like us,

  • since we can describe the mechanisms very precisely and in a way that allows us to really understand what is going on, and to realize the depth of the usual misunderstandings ;
  • and since (be said without wishing to offend you !), as you will have understood if you read this whole document, There is really a problem with “The Normal Approach” defectological (medical and negative etc.), which begins from the outset with a confusion “which ruins everything” (Autism-Disorders Confusion) that prevents us from seeing the two opposing points of view, to see the positive and the negative.

Remark : the fact that we do not really listen to us when it is obvious that our explanations can greatly help to reduce the suffering of autistic people in the world, is a very absurd thing and an example of mental impairment that is sometimes particularly “Torture”.

Most people in the public authorities of the countries to which we will propose to read such a document will never want to do so because “it is too long” or “they already know better” or “We already have specialists”, and will continue to fail to understand autism (or, much worse, to think you understand), while they have before them important explanations allowing “to use the spotting scope from the right side” and therefore to begin to understand.
Ensuite, It's like turning on the light.
But they refuse, and we cannot coerce them.

D7. Possible solutions for this example

This document is intended for WHO, which deals mainly with health issues, whereas the more we understand autism, the more we understand that it is a question “of society”, No health, even though many of the “autistic disorders” have something to do with mental health when the lack of proper consideration of autism everywhere leads to “affected”, disruptions, of the “Blockages in one's own world”, mental suffering, depression etc.

(Like what, with the situation described, It is clear that the “Mental Health” of the person has been greatly disturbed, because she was less and less able to manage the situation, because she was neurologically disturbed etc., which has a dimension “Medical”.
BUT that doesn't mean that “autism” or that “Autism disorders” would inherently constitute “Mental health disorders”.
However, This is a delicate debate and is beyond the scope of this document, Who “is limited” to try to show the difference between “autism” et “the troubles”, which is hard enough.)

Consequently, We are not going to enter into detailed discussions here about the public policies to be undertaken in terms of accessibility, since – a priori – this does not fall under the jurisdiction of the WHO.

But we can still briefly suggest a few avenues, in relation to the situation described :

  • The concept of “Preferred lanes” (when we are lucky enough that it exists) Must be optimized, to better integrate autism (or other peculiarities).
    • Like what, we could add on the panels of “preferential queue” A simple sentence “Please respect social distancing in this line”.
It would really help a lot !
(Note : Despite all its negative aspects, The period “Covid-19” was very pleasant about it : no one touching or approaching : A dream...)
  • And, in a preferential queue, a person has a behavior “not normal” and angry, and if it does not seem deaf, dumb, or blind,, and without any physical particularity, so staff should ask themselves “Maybe autism”, and activate the right reflexes (to be detailed in policies to be created).
  • Something really needs to be done about the problems of “Abusive social settings” (pleonasm...) in terms of heating or cooling (and so many other things !).
In addition, This leads to waste, pollution, destruction etc.
Maybe we should explain to people that if we can solve “Degree by Degree”, it's because it's useful, otherwise there would only be a button “walking / stop”…
  • (These are just a few ideas.)
